Everyone is different. Every body is different. In our own uniqueness we gravitate towards what resonates with us on a personal level and this is the foundation for our personal yoga practice.
As a yoga teaching I strive to help my students realize their personal goals and lead them to a place of better health. I have a genuine interest in having all my students enjoy their practice, even when their practice becomes frustrating, because sometimes it is. I honor and respect all my students, whether they are new to the practice of yoga or having been practicing for years. Knowing my students’ physical abilities and limitations as well as their emotional and mental needs allows me to guide and adjust my teaching to meet the needs of my students whether I am teaching private lessons or group classes.
I work with my students through their journey, as they develop stronger mind-body connections, self-awareness and even spiritual connections. The more aware we are about ourselves, wholistically and holistically, the more we are able to working through difficult situations - mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, as well as fully embrace the joys and comforts we encounter throughout our journey.
As I continue my own journey and increase my understanding of yoga as a whole, the more I am able to develop and strengthen my teaching abilities. One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching is developing positive, motivational relationships with each student in order to assist them in achieving their personal goals.
